And as you go, preach, saying. "The kingdom of heaven is at hand" heal the sick; cleanse the lepers; raise the dead; cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Matthew 10:7-8 (NKJ)
For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be save. "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!" Rom 10:13-15 (NKJ)
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8 (NKJ)
The DCC family of believers acknowledges the mandate to evangelize given by the Lord throughout His word. That is demonstrated by an ever increasing desire to serve in three major areas of missions.
- Homemissions which includes our local community and it's surroundings. Prison ministry, homes for the elderly ministry, health care ministry and evangelistic outreaches are just some of the activities that reflect the "home mission" heart of our family members.
- Haiti has been a part of our missionary effort for nearly 30 years. Great progress has been demonstrated by the Lord through the ministry of a native Haitian, Serge Coulanges. The latest miracle project is the "in process" completion of a hospital in Haiti as a result of the God given vision to Pastor Serge. This is an area with a populace of 150,000 that has neither a clinic nor hospital.
- India has also become a focus of the church within the last three years. Ray and Wilma Phipps, members of DCC, have been to India for months at a time and continue a close ministry relationship with pastors partly sponsored by DCC. The training and encouragement of an ever increasing army of church planters has been a primary focus of these efforts. A recent report indicated that participants in just one seminar in Nepal planted over 100 churches since January 2005. Many others have been planted in India all of which the DCC family has had some part through their support by "going, praying and giving".
